I do believe I am living the American dream.I am a female of Hispanic descent and own a design/build home improvement company in Fredericksburg, Virginia.A female owned contractor business in ‘this here neck of the woods’ is a testament to the progress America has made in terms of civil rights and equality.Our continued progress in the equality of race and gender is due to the American values taught by our Constitution and ingrained in our national character.These American values have set our country apart from all others for over two centuries.
Proud to Be an American
America is one of many God blessed nations, I KNOW must be true. But being an American, and being partial and familiar with American history; I do believe we are very specially blessed. For whom much is given; much is expected. We are the only nation in history that has our beginning based upon the life, words and truth of Jesus, a lowly carpenter who believed in forgiveness of sins, the importance of love, peace and joy.
We are here to be a light to the world exemplifying self government, progress, goodwill towards all humankind, equality and to share the evolved thinking of a group of men that won our independence from the tyrannical rule of the British crown.
The principles that forged a new and brave country called the United States of America, 200 years ago, are clearly explained in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. These documents contain guidelines that have protected us from tyranny and religious rule for over 200 years. These documents will also protect us from the real and present day threat of undemocratic philosophy and practice, such as governmental corruption, fascism and corporatism (government ruled by corporations; the will of corporations taking precedence over the will of American citizens).
The Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence were drafted to protect our free democratic republic. These documents cannot protect themselves. In order for these documents to protect American citizens and their children (protect our integrity, our liberties, our prosperity and our future) Americans must protect THEM.
Please watch these very short videos that recite the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence. They may just provide the education that every American needs to understand what American patriotism is all about. As long as all Americans embrace TRUTH, JUSTICE and LIBERTY; we will continue to be God's blessed nation. Liberty requires citizen vigilance, awareness and involvement.
